Problem: My old site was dated, and difficult to maintain/update.
Solution: In building a new site, the initial focus was on integrating my desktop photo management software with my website. A simple export from the website enabled quick and easy importing, keywording and categorization of new photos.
Technical Summary: Standard LAMP setup; using PHP's Smarty templating engine for quick development and page caching on the front end; customized MVC framework that utilizes the Zend Framework as a code library. User interface enhanced with unobtrusive jQuery. Site features dynamic Media RSS feeds that are compatible with Cooliris and all other RSS feed readers.
